In response to: NFL 2011 Predictions: Week 7

Rey Ryan's flamboyant mouth sounded off again claiming if he'd been selected Chargers coach instead of Turner then San Diego would already have won multiple Super Bowls. Hey - I seem to remember similar statements from Ryan promising Super Bowl victories in New York

You nailed the Giants. I was beginning to believe nobody else would state Giants path to the Super Bowl comes from Frisco taking out Saints. Guess what? No one did except for you!
Kudos brother - GREAT call!!!
49ers a tough game in the making.
Who's a better match for Giants? Ravens or Patriots?

Wonder if they grab up Wilson next? Rumors swirling Hanley wants out.

Marlins fans must love new spending attitude if players produce. Buerhle & Bell were solid moves. If Reyes can play 145-150 games/year then they're golden.

Verlander wins AL MVP???????
Are you kidding me???? A player appearing in just 21% of his teams games wins MVP? A severe injustice to other deserving players.

Not a fan of starting pitchers as MVP. I can see voting for relievers/closers (not this year). 2011 might go down as one of the toughest voting for AL/NL MVP's. Plenty of candidates.

Outstanding! MVP votes by writers will provide plenty of controversy. Folks already discussing Verlander. Do you think a pitcher playing in only 30-plus games deserves recognition? I don't. After all is said and done, pitchers have their own award. It's called the Cy Young Award. Frankly, I don't understand how starting pitchers factor into MVP voters minds? Keep your blogs coming! I've been forwarding to all my sporting buddies.

Oh Ghostly one...
Do you still believe New Orleans will rule NFL? They're good but have a long way to go before returning to great status.
Phillies vs Angels was an interesting pick back in July. Looks like Texas is too tough at the moment. How about those Tigers on a 12 game run!?!

No class found in Mets front office. No player has worn #8 since GC left town. So what's the holdup honoring Carter?

Boys club revolving door keeps changing. Do you think NY Mets are next? It's only a matter of time b4 they pony up billions to Madoff victims trustee. Dodgers will have an easy time finding suitable buyers.

Toughest Series in years to predict. Very even teams except for Texas bats.
Rooting for Giants.

These teams were difficult to narrow down. Reflex thinking had me penciling in franchises best all timers at first. Focus was to select players I watched over the years. Best players didn't always make it either as favorites came into play (including role type reserves/relievers). Players such as "The Stork" (come on Mets fans... wake up those memories) almost made the cut too. Now that I think of it... I may add a "PH" section.
Enjoy.
